Accomplishments I have Made Throughout my Life

A huge accomplishment that I just recently achieved is becoming a manager for LOFT. I started working in retail September 2018, I was a seasonal employee at Kohl's, they asked for me to stay on part time after the holiday's were over. I started to dread going into work at Kohl's so I applied for LOFT as a sales lead in March 2019, knowing this was a huge step for me especially since I haven't even been in retail for a year. I knew it was a long shot applying for a manager position but it was the only position they were hiring for at the time. I had several interviews with a variety of people, my last interview was with the district manager, after the interview she told me that I am not ready to become a sales lead, I said to her that I respect her honesty and I even knew it was a long shot for me to try and get a manager position. She did however offer me a sales associate job and I was thankful for that since they weren't even hiring sales associates.

I started working for LOFT in April 2019 as a sales associate, I loved working for LOFT and being a part of the LOFT family. My store manager kept telling me all of the things I needed to learn and know to become a sales lead since she knew I applied for that. Over the summer she was training me, teaching me new things so I was ready to become a sales lead in August. Over the summer, I worked as hard as I could showing my store manager and the district manager that I was ready to become a sales lead and eventually it paid off. August 11, 2019 I was officially a sales lead at LOFT and I could not be happier or prouder of myself to achieve this goal that I set for myself in April.

Something that I always tell myself is that if you want something and you truly believe in yourself that you are able to accomplish that goal, then never give up on achieving your goals. In order for you to be a better you and be happy in your life you have to believe in yourself and you dreams and never give up. You are the only one that can make your life the way you want it, so love yourself no matter what the circumstances are. Be true to you and life will treat you perfectly.
